You can receive a test for the risk of developing a stroke or heart attack with just a blood sample. June 8, 2018

LOX-index® is a test for the risk of developing a stroke or heart attack using a blood sample. It estimates your risk of developing a stroke or heart attack with just a blood sample. The test assesses the risk of developing a stroke or heart attack based on the LOX-index®, which multiplies the values for sLOX-1 (a high value is thought to indicate inflammation in the blood vessels) and LAB (a condition in which bad cholesterol has become worse). Stroke and heart attack are conditions that can be prevented with medication.
